ID Studies

ID studies are elitist individual study programmes for the best candidates and students. ID Studies are dedicated to the candidates for first- and second-cycle degree full-time studies applying for selected programmes available at the university.  As part of the programmes, WUT offers individualised education programmes under the supervision of renowned academic teachers – Tutors. The learning process involves innovative forms of classes supporting future graduates in adjusting to future professional challenges as best as they can.

Who is it for?

First-cycle degree studies:

  • The programme is aimed at the laureates and finalists* of the Mathematical, Physical, Chemical, Biological, IT, and Astronomical Olympiads. The Olympiad laureates are admitted with no additional provisions.

Second-cycle degree studies:

  • Students with the best results after completing first-cycle degree studies with additional achievements, e.g. research work, work in scientific clubs, etc.

*If there are vacancies in the project, we are willing to invite the best finalists as well.

Benefits for participants

Each participant will receive a scholarship. The amount will depend on the degree of studies and the level of individual development (for first-cycle degree studies, the scholarship will increase progressively).

ID Studies offer an Individual Path. They aim to take the students’ interests outside their major, through the implementation of tasks from other courses, seemingly unrelated to their major (individualisation of studies).

A selected Tutor will supervise the individualisation of studies. Under the Tutors’ supervision, students will prepare an individual plan of study, which will be approved by the Programme Board and then implemented by the students. Individualisation may also include involving the student in the work of research teams or R&D teams in companies.

Tutors will be acclaimed academic teachers who value working with students and can naturally become an authority. Tutors will work with students on a one-to-one basis, using the principles of personalised education and aiming to implement the student’s development plans and develop the student’s strengths, while maintaining the “master-disciple” relationship.

As part of the course implementation, students will be able to participate in forms of modern didactics such as Design Thinking, Project Based Learning, and Blended Learning.
